If you have a motorcycle and you ride that motorcycle, it’s going to get dirty. While some riders may enjoy that well-worn look, most prefer a clean bike. Whether it’s bugs or mud, dust or pollen, there are plenty of ways for your motorcycle to get dirty. In this video, I’ll go over some of the basics of how to wash your motorcycle.

While every motorcycle has a bit of variance depending on your accessories, the principals for washing your motorcycle are pretty universal. On my Softail, we’ll go over how to deal with the windshield, leather saddlebags, what specific areas to focus on that collect the most bugs and dirt, working top down, dealing with chrome and more.

The items you’ll need to wash your motorcycle at home.
